Cran-Raspberry Jello Shots
Cran-Raspberry Jello Shots
Festive Cran-Raspberry Jello Shots are so adorable right? Crispy sweet-tart Sugared Cranberries create a brilliant contrast of texture and flavor that will make your mouth sing! Make them in condiment containers with lids and you have a perfectly portable take along for a Holiday Party.
Don't you just want to try one of these? They are so cute!
The Sugared Cranberries really make these simple raspberry Jello shots amazing! Make them ahead of time because although they are very simple to make, they do take a while to dry enough to take on that special crispiness that really elevates the Jello shots.
Making the Jello shots is super quick so you'll have plenty of time to get ready for the party while they firm up. Simply mix together two packages of raspberry Jello with one cup of water in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Make sure that all of the gelatin is dissolved, then remove it from the heat.
Allow the raspberry Jello mixture to cool slightly, then pour it from the sauce pan into a 4 cup or larger container that you can pour easily from to fill the shot glasses.
Place the "shot glasses" on a baking sheet and fill them. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill them for about 3 hours or until firm, then cover them unless you are ready to serve.
I used plastic condiment cups that had lids so that I could cover them individually and they would keep in the refrigerator until I was ready to serve them. If left uncovered they have a tendency to dry out and evaporate some over time. Another benefit using the condiment cups is that we could pull out just what we wanted to use at the time easily and leave some for later.
Cran-Raspberry Jello Shots were very popular at my house this Christmas. They are super tasty and low in alcohol so they're a lot of fun but not too dangerous.
Cheers!
